Clive CrookEditorial Advisor to the Chairman for Atlantic Media Company

Clive Crook is the chief editorial advisor to the chairman for Atlantic Media Company, watching over a portfolio of media properties including National Journal, CongressDaily, Government Executive, The Atlantic and The Hotline. He also contributes to The Atlantic and National Journal as a senior writer.
Mr. Cook was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford and the London School of Economics. After his studies, he worked as an official in Her Majesty's Treasury. He spent 22 years at The Economist, as the economics correspondent (1983-85); Washington D.C. correspondent (1985-86); and economics editor, responsible for all the paper's economics coverage and principal editorial-writer on economic policy (1986-93); finally serving as the deputy editor prior to joining Atlantic Media Company in Washington, DC.
